If you haven’t already heard HGTV has a show called Fixer Upper where hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines take a home in Colorado and fix it up! We chose our favorite episode where they completely renovate a home that cost $230,000. They end up investing $227,000 into the remodel. Here are the photos from the renovation.
This renovation is in episode 06 of season 4 for the Wixsoms family. This 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house needed a major face lift. We fell in love with the new metal roof pictured above and the exterior paint color choice. View more exterior home color ideas here.
Brand new kitchen remodel with an open floor plan and industrial feel to match the rest of the house. We love the use of cement for the countertops, which is a common material in this home. Consider a kitchen design for your next remodel with open shelves like this.
Another trend we saw is the use of black as an accent. Black cabinets, black metal roof, black shiplap in the master suite, and black window frames. The picture above is the office which has two black doors to close up the space.
Before this living room was nothing like what it is now. What was once crumbling brick is now new faux concrete. The fireplace looks much better and is an awesome focal point for the space! The wood compliments the grey for a more warm and cohesive design.
One of the most inspiring features of the home are the floor to ceiling windows that bring in all that wanted light. It is amazing what a little light can do to a space. We often see families gravitate towards the light rooms and stay out of the darker rooms in their homes.
