Welcome to Schilly Construction, Inc.!

At Schilly Construction, Inc., we aim to help you reach the dream of making your house a home - whether it be a remodel, an addition, or new construction. Calling Schilly Construction, Inc. is the first step toward getting your construction project done.

I have a project. Now what?

It is our job to help you identify your needs, create a realistic vision, and a well laid out scope of work, and then put all the planning and visions into action to get the project done - from start to finish.

Phone Intake Call

When we receive your call, our first priority is to listen to your ideas, questions, and concerns. For the initial phone call, we provide a 30-minute free consultation.

Here are the top three concerns we often hear:

  • Is my project physically feasible?

  • If it is doable, how do I go about planning and preparing for it?

  • How much will it cost?

We understand the importance of feeling heard and understood, and we encourage asking any questions that come to mind. We work toward putting your mind at ease by providing a trusted source of information and education about your project and standards in the construction industry.

In your 30-minute free phone consultation, in addition to listening to your ideas and needs, we will gather initial information about your project.

Some of the questions we will ask you are:

  • What city is your project located?

  • Will you be living in the property where the project will take place?

  • Have you contacted your city or county government to learn about the permitting process?

  • What is your general scope of work? (Examples: Bathroom Remodel, Addition, Full House Remodel, Deck Installation, Retaining Wall, Landscaping, or any combination of these and more)

  • Are you already working with a designer, architect, or engineer?

  • How did you hear about Schilly Construction, Inc.?

In these 30 minutes, we share valuable information to help you understand what you can do on your own, what you need to hire others for, and provide the next steps for your project. Hopefully, during our phone call, we will build a trusting and valued relationship that will want us to continue working together and move forward.

Job Consultation

After an initial phone call, our next service is an onsite or phone consultation for a one-time fee. We have found that clients see value in the consulation because it creates a sense of direction and control over the project and also a better understanding of the process and costs. In this walk-through, we will inspect your property, listen to your ideas, look for possible areas that need addressing before your project begins, and give you educational instruction on some of the construction processes that your project will require.

With over 20 years of experience, we have seen and experienced many project scenarios, which gives us the ability to understand the scope of work and needs of each unique client. After the walk-through, we will provide you with our construction phases worksheet that includes general cost estimates for your project.

Create Project Estimate

We strive to come up with the best outline to meet your vision and needs by providing detailed proposals.

For new construction, additions, remodels, retaining walls, decks, fences, and other projects: To create a free bid, we need a set of city or county approved plans, a detailed scope of work, and a list of finishes and fixtures. Once we receive the plans, scope of work, and list of finishes and fixtures in .pdf format, we will review it and then create a free bid/estimate.

Demolition/tear down of current or existing structures: We will need a detailed scope of work and confirmation of any requirements for plans and permits by your city or county government. If no plans/permits are required for demolition/tear down, we would need only a detailed scope of work. Send it all to us in .pdf format, and we will draw up a free bid.

Okay, I have sent you all of the information!

Once all the approved information is sent to us, it takes around 5-7 working days for us to create a bid/estimate. When the bid/estimate is complete, we will send it to you, and you can decide if you would like to move forward to sign a contract.

I don't have all of this information!

We completely understand that it can be challenging to create, find, and gather plans, permits, a detailed scope of work, and a list of finishes and fixtures. It’s difficult to Google it to get an accurate and concise understanding of your specific needs. Through our construction consulting services, you can hire us to help in the pre-project planning process. We can provide personalized goals, project details, a team of vendors, designers, architects, and engineers, and support gathering the pieces needed to prepare for your project.

Sign Your Contract

When you decide to work with us, your free bid/estimate will become your individually tailored contract for your electronic signature. Your contract includes scope of work, job cost, payment schedule, and all CSLB required information.

Break Ground

Using the best equipment, procedures, and expertise, we mobilize to accomplish jobs safely, effectively, and adhere to strict guidelines. For the duration of every project, we provide communication through phone calls, emails, texts, job site visits, research, strategy sessions, detailed scopes of work, and answers to any construction project-related questions. And, once your project is complete, we are still there for you - just give us a call because at Schilly Construction, Inc., it’s not just about the job, it’s about connection.
